Social - New York, USA

After a long flight from Madrid with our trusty partner Iberia, we landed in hot New York, full of anticipation. After checking into our hotel, everyone was ready for some dinner. So off we went to a local steakhouse for some very tasty (and expensive!) food, but a good night was had by all. We then had a full weekend looming ahead of us and the group was busy planning a variety of activities.

Saturday the 25th of July was a day full of exploration, many opted to go for our trusty open-top bus tour, cruising past many of the most famous sites: Empire State Building, Rockefeller centre, Central Park, World Trade Centre site, Wall Street, the Flatiron Building, Times Square, Statue of Liberty and the many unique districts in downtown New York. Most of the group gathered at Central Park café, Tavern on the Green, for a late lunch/drinks session. This was thoroughly enjoyable and the setting just perfect on a summer's day. That night the group split, some opting for night-time views from Empire State or Rockefeller and some opting for a classy dinner in the Meatpacking District. The following day, Sunday the 26th of July, was a more slow-paced day with some museum visits, long lunches, helicopter trips (not so relaxing!) followed by some of the group heading off to Chicago on Broadway!

After our full day of company visits on Monday the 27th of July, the group caught up for a late dinner at another wonderful kosher restaurant on the Upper East Side. Another great meal was had, with many commiserating that this was our last night in New York and in fact one of our last night's on the tour!
