After a long flight, we touched down at the Hong Kong International Airport, it was humid and wet, and we did not realise the Category 3 Storm warning was actually in place. We were greeted with a lot of rain, some blue sky, and a very warm temperature, very much a contrast to the chill in Melbourne, hello Hong Kong!! We settled into our hotel in the heart of Kowloon, and quickly organised some local site seeing. To start with most of the group joined forces on a walk around the area of our hotel and we quickly found ourselves along the shoreline of Kowloon Island and then found a great local restaurant, The Peking Duck, for dinner. The following day was our only free day to see the local sights, so the group mainly stuck together and covered Victoria Harbour, Central district Hong Kong Island, The Peak, The Ladies Market, ifc Mall and Nathan Road. That evening after our Wal-Mart meeting we had our welcome dinner at Heaven on Earth restaurant at Knutsford Terrace. The Monday was a busy day for us as we had our DDB and Li & Fung meetings, followed by a wonderful dinner at Aqua bar on the 30th floor of an office building in Peking Road. The views were spectacular and we were lucky enough to view the light show from such a great height. The food was an interesting mix of Italian and Japanese, but there was something to suit all tastes and it was a very good way to end our time in Hong Kong.
